Baby announcement. Full-bleed design of my son's birth information and photographs. Photoraphs are Photoshoped with multiple layers and blending modes to create a "haze" effect. Plad design done in Indesign using various blending modes and opacities to create the desired effects. His
name "Preston Connor Zuberny" is in the brown background to break up
plain space and add contrast to the complete work.
Poster done for Deborah Gens for the Cleveland Auto Rama March 20-22. Type system consists of a thin san-serif verses a thick serif font to create contrast as well as a dynamic composition. Picutes and shapes are overlapped with various blending modes to enhance the composition.
Winner of the 2008 Cuyahoga County Bicentennial Banner Contest. First
in a series of banners to be hung on lightposts throughout Downtown
Cleveland celebrating first events happening in Cuyahoga county. Images are xeroxed from the Case Western Reserve Historical Society Library and at Cleveland State University's Collection. Then they are manipulated in Photoshop using different half-tone dot patterns and levels
2008 Cuyahoga County Bicentennial Placard. First in a series of
placards to be hung inside all RTA busses celebrating first events
happening in Cuyahoga county. Images are xeroxed from the Case
Western Reserve Historical Society Library and at Cleveland State
University's Collection. Then they are manipulated in Photoshop using different half-tone dot patterns and levels.
Restaurant logo with Illustrator vector art. Oval shape with a gradient stroke and a starburst of colors that represent the colors of various barbecue sauces. Includes a simple Illustrator drawing of a cute pig with angel wings, a halo and a spatula. Texture, stroke and drop shadow effects are included in the text.
Siggraph 2008 Space-Time Exhibit entry. This poster displays the
theme "evolve" using typography. The figure created by hand using the Cleveland
Memorial Statue as a template, took many days as it was pieced together
by warping images of water drops and changing their blending modes. The
sky and water are consisted of various images blended together and
their hues and saturation have been adjusted to match each other.
Cover for Baseline Magazine. Central image is a photograph of cards
that were designed in Indesign and constructed and stacked together to
make a card house. Each card represents a different graphic
designer and the whole composition is called "A Gathering of Players"
refering back to the playing cards and their symbolism. The card
house was a creation by Charles and Ray Eames and this was also
symbolic of them.
Baseline Magazine spread dedicated to Charles and Ray Eames. Designed to reflect the artistic style of the Eameses. Floating
organic shapes break up empty space, create focal points and symbolize
their modern style of fiberglass furniture. Side bar consists of a timeline which is boxed off by a line and below, an image of one of their chairs. The page number is enhances with a hand drawn organic image that represents on of the chairs that they were most known for.

page number is enhances with a hand drawn organic image that represents
on of the chairs that they were most known for.
Poster for the marketing committee of the First United
Methodist Church in Elyria, Ohio. This marketing campaign targets
younger couples with children by showing the pastor with a puppet
pointing at the image of the child, then the child's eyes look at an
image of the front doors of the church to bring them in. The
main image was from the archives and was Photoshoped with a half-tone
dot pattern and duotone coloring. This images is boxed in by planks of
wood designed in Photoshop that represent the cross. Both
logos along the bottom are hand-drawn in Adobe Illustrator. Courier new
font represents old with the new when used in a more contemporary design to appeal to all age groups.
